A majority of the printing we do is screen printing but from time to time certain products or logos are better suited to using the transfer printing method which involves heat pressing cut vinyl onto garments. We also do photo''s on t shirts by using transfer paper - this is ideal for Stag/Hen do''s and "one-off" t shirts. It is not very long lasting but has a great impact for such occasions.
When to use transfer printing?
- Individual Names and Numbers
- One-off samples and low volume orders
- Nylon fabrics - waterproofs, hi-vis jackets, umbrellas
- Lycra(R) or Spandex sports and leisurewear
- Stag/Hen Do''s etc
- One-Off - Fun T''s
Unlike screen printing, where the ink absorbs slightly into the garment, transfers sit on top of the garment. This means they look sharp and bright because the garment base colour does not affect the design. A transfer can be made in a number of different ways and then is applied to the garment using a heat press.
The vinyl we use is a newly developed high quality cast polyurethane film with a matt reflection free surface and a thermally activated adhesive. Suitable for most fabric types. Washable up to 60oC and suitable for dry cleaning. Available in 36 different Colours!
